This week, Kong: Skull Island began filming at Kualoa Ranch in Oahu, Hawaii, the same location used for Jurassic World just last year. Our friends over at Reel Tours Hawaii have also spotted plenty of helicopters and large skulls at Kualoa, no surprise considering the movie’s title.
Here’s a short synopsis of the film, due to hit theaters in 2017: “Kong: Skull Island will fully immerse audiences in the mysterious and dangerous home of the king of the apes as a team of explorers ventures deep inside the treacherous, primordial island.”
Kong stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Corey Hawkins, Samuel L. Jackson and John Goodman.
